There is a continual debate in the industry regarding the merits of agent-based and agentless monitoring.

Vendors that have agent-based architected solutions argue that you need to have an agent installe don each serevr in order to get the detailed monitoring and performnace information required to effectively manage your IT infrestructure and that agentless moniutorjgn  puts an undue load on the networtk.

Vendors with agentless based solution architectures arguye that agentless impelmentaitns are far simpler and quicker to impement and manage on an on-going basis and put less load on the monitoed servers.
